ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
OPERATIONS AND FINANCE COMMUNICATIONS
Join our Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team, where you’ll play a critical role in enhancing our internal communications and promoting our brand and reputation within the Finance and Operations functions. You will directly support strategic initiatives from the office of the COO and CFO, ensuring effective communication to our internal audiences, including all US employees and leaders.
The opportunity
The Communications Assistant Director will be a key member of a high-performing and collaborative team, contributing to the design, development, and execution of strategic internal communication initiatives for the Operations and Finance functions . You will be responsible for building strategies, content, and plans to cascade initiatives effectively throughout the organization.
Your key responsibilities
Working closely with the Operations and Finance Communications Director, you’ll develop concepts and content for executive communications, ensuring alignment with the team’s and the organization’s strategic goals. You will have the opportunity to support important and visible initiatives and channels such as webcasts to the firm’s senior leaders. Through a multi-channel approach (including webcasts, videos, presentations, emails and newsletters), your work will serve to communicate important firm-wide initiatives and change management throughout the firm. You will be responsible for managing multiple stakeholders, often with varying perspectives, and finding a solution that works for everyone. You will be comfortable with a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Collaborating with the team, you will support the execution of strategic initiatives and ensure that all communications resonate with internal stakeholders to drive increased engagement and understanding.

- Excellent verbal and written communication and project management skills
- Proven ability to show professional integrity and handle sensitive projects with discretion, ensuring the protection of the firm’s interests and minimizing risk
- Builds relationships with key internal stakeholders
- Strong executive presence
- Advises and influences leadership on the appropriate communications strategies/channels using metrics and data
- Participates and provides insights in leadership meetings to build brand as strategic advisor versus administrative
- Presents complex ideas and anticipates potential objections; influences others; anticipates and communicates ramifications of decisions and issues to project stakeholders and presents alternatives
- Aligns with other communications and marketing initiatives as appropriate for their stakeholder pillars
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Eight or more years of relevant internal communications experience, with a focus on executive communications
- Proficiency in Windows, MS Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Knowledge of/willingness to learn AI tools that enhance communication proficiency

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $96,300 to $180,100. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $115,600 to $204,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
- Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
